Hi, I’m Jon Cook, founder of Advisor Story™, and our story isn’t about us.
It’s about no one showing you how to tell your story when you sat for your CFP®, BFA, or Series whatever-number. Why you became a financial advisor – and why you keep showing up for your clients – that likely wasn’t part of your training.
Maybe no one told you that as an advisor growing your practice you’re the one ultimately responsible for telling your story.
That’s what ignited my idea to start this venture. Advisor Story™ launched as a part of our larger company Keynote Content® in late 2016. While working with over 250 financial advisors one-on-one, I discovered a massive gap in the market.
How the ‘average’ financial advisor talks about what they do is boring, vastly ineffective, even a turnoff for many investors. On the other side of this ‘gap’ is a multitude of investors, all craving to know they’re talking with the right-for-them advisor.
Your story is the bridge. Knowing how to tell why you became a financial advisor is as integral to your success – and your clients’ success, however Compliance allows you to define ‘success’.
